Propper International has landed a contract worth up to $7.5 million to manufacture overalls for the U.S. Navy.
The award was announced this week by the U.S. Department of Defense, of which Propper International is among the largest garment suppliers.
The Department of Defense exercised the forth option year on a contract initially granted to Propper International in 2008. The contract runs into July 2013.
Missouri-based Propper International has manufacturing plants in Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. Last year, the company’s Mayagüez plant was awarded a $47.5 million contract for Marine Corps packs, training materials, and data reports.
